When you have money to spare and don’t want it to sit in your bank account doing nothing, it’s only natural to consider investing it. After all, while investing can be risky, there’s also the potential to earn additional money beyond your initial investment price. For many people, Bitcoin can look like a sound investment option. However, if you’re not yet convinced that it’s right for you, you may enjoy some of these advantages:

Global Accessibility

Unlike real estate, which can be complicated to buy in various parts of the world, deciding to buy Bitcoin can provide a different experience. It has great global accessibility in that you can buy, sell, and transfer it across multiple borders with few obstacles.

Bitcoin is banned in many countries, but it’s also freely used in dozens more. As a result, you may see it as one of the more streamlined investment options if you plan on using it around the world.

Potential for High Returns

Return on investment (ROI) is an essential factor for many soon-to-be investors. Investors want to be sure that they’re putting their money into something that has the potential to make them lots of money.

Bitcoin may tick that box if past growth is anything to go by. Implied expected excess returns on Bitcoin exceed 80% annually. Yet, the average annual return on real estate is 4.8% and 12.8% on stocks.

Diversification Opportunity

The savviest of investors know that diversification is an important part of making good financial decisions. If you were to invest all your money into one investment type, there’s a chance of financial ruin during market downturns.

That can often be less likely to happen if you invest in many different things. Alongside real estate, stocks, gold, and bonds, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency can be a worthwhile option.

Hedge Against Inflation

Money’s purchasing power can change at the drop of a hat. Frustratingly, the money you have today to buy goods and services can be worth less in the future. We can’t change inflation hedges, but we can protect ourselves against them.

Bitcoin is a great way to hedge against inflation because it has a fixed supply of 21 million coins. This may protect it from devaluing against fiat currencies. You may also consider gold for the same reasons.

Growing Acceptance

Very few businesses and individuals accepted or recognized Bitcoin as a form of currency when it first came out. However, that’s slowly changing. More companies, investors, and individuals than ever before are starting to accept it for the valuable currency it is. It’s believed that at least 2,300 businesses in the United States were accepting Bitcoin by late 2022. Nearly 75% of retailers planned to accept it by 2024. As a result, if a lack of support was holding you back from investing, you may explore it when you learn your shopping options have increased.

Investing in Bitcoin or any form of cryptocurrency is a big decision to make. However, you may consider it as a worthwhile investment option after learning about the standout advantages above.
