In Need of Emergency and Temporary Help

From Becky Biehl

I'm raising money to greatly improve my living situation which will finally allow me to be in a position of thriving rather than surviving. I've been living in my unreliable car with the family cat for almost a year.

Hi everyone,

I want to thank you for your interest in my story. I'm a people person and an empath so I would much rather give than receive. However, after having lived and been in survival mode for almost a year in my car with the family cat I just can't continue without changing my situation.  My car, which was my late mother's, has needed a lot of repair for a long time. The battery isn't holding a charge right now, and I don't know for sure if it's the only reason the car has been shutting off recently.  Living outside is difficult enough without having to wonder how you're going to keep warm in the winter and cool in the summer.  I don't take anything for granted.  I was attacked on Veterans Day around 10:00 at night for money. Had I been able to think beyond what was happening to me I would have told the attacker that if I wanted to live outside it would be in a nice RV, not a sedan. I have an online job and need to pick up where I left off over a year ago.  It's going to take some time to make enough money to keep us in a room because I'm so far behind in my work. I index video replays of weekly news and host/member Q&A forums.  I've met many humanitarians while living in the car and it was mostly the individual who kept us alive. I'm someone who needs to pay back those who help me in whatever way I can. For a while, I've been thinking about how I can pay back everyone who has been a part of my journey these past months.  Having had many a conversation since then with people I didn't know but was certainly meant to meet to survive, it occurred to me that the best way to show my gratitude would be to pay it forward. I was thinking that I should donate to shelters and many of the humanitarians I met confirmed it. Some showed their interest in the needs of people, others for animals, and some expressed their interest in both. Having connected with several people and animal organizations I know they appreciate whatever help they're given, and I also know what I need to do as soon as possible!
